I have often asked myself lately – “Did Mussolini fall too soon?” I mean as far as the allies are concerned. I have the queerest feeling that he must have – that they counted on his fall happening later. And, believe me, I have moments when I wish Mussolini had been in power while there were still Germans in Italy.
