Join us as we unearth the stories of hidden figures who were key in creating change during the 1920s.
This online creative writing programme will focus on uncovering and telling the stories of important figures from the early 20th century, such as Kathleen Lynn, Alice Milligan and Hanna Sheehy-Skeffington.
Participants will take part in research and creative sessions before developing their own short story publication.
How the programme will work:
-- Learn from historian Margaret Ward about important and sometimes hidden figures from history
-- Develop creative writing skills with Niamh Kelly and produce your own short story
-- Have your story paired with an illustrator who will bring it to life visually
-- Receive support and feedback on your work through Slack and our workshops will run on Zoom.
The programme will take place from 10am - 11.30am on the following dates:
Monday 2 November, Wednesday 4 November, Monday 9 November, Wednesday 11 November, Monday 16 November and Wednesday 18 November.
