Work with artist Nathan Crothers to create a series of zines at the Ulster Museum
Envisioning is an exciting zine making workshop where you have the opportunity to work with artist Nathan Crothers. This 2-day zine-making workshop at the Ulster Museum, Belfast will focus on the completion of a 24 page collaborative zine, and two individual experimental mini zines.
A zine is a self-published magazine that can take any form, originally emerging from Sci-Fi fandom, and then later embraced by the Punk DIY subculture.
- How it will work
- Join us for a guided tour of the brand new Making the Future exhibition Collecting the Past/Making the Future at the Ulster Museum. Learning about the objects and issues on display will act as the catalyst and inspiration for the zines.
- Develop new skills in zine making, specifically drawing, collage and photocopying techniques.
- Take part in two creative worskhops with artist Nathan Crothers, hear about his practice and learn how to make impactful zines.
- All participants will have the opportunity to complete and take home 3 zines.
