Troubles Art will open to the public at Nerve Visual from Saturday 19 January, featuring artworks from the National Museums NI art collection, some of which have never before been showcased outside Belfast.
Including work by artists such as John Keane, Joseph McWilliams, Locky Morris, Jack Pakenham and Rita Duffy, Troubles Art will explore themes of conflict and violence, suffering and loss, and the meaning and power of symbols, through a programme of exhibitions, events and workshops.
A full programme of events will run alongside the exhibition, including artists talks, film screenings and creative workshops.
Following its run at Nerve Visual, the exhibition will tour to a further four locations across Northern Ireland and border counties, to be announced.
Admission to the exhibition is free. Nerve Visual galleries are open from 11am - 5pm (Tue - Sat) and from 12pm - 6pm (Sun).
