Learn the art of photo embroidery with 'textile stories'

Love fashion, archives and history?

Join us for Textile Stories - an exciting four-week evening programme led by PRONI that will look at the intersection between textiles, archives and photo embroidery.

How will the programme work?

-- PRONI staff will showcase highlights from their Photographic Collections and discuss issues of preservation, conservation and accessibility

--  Roberta Bacic & Elsie Doolan will talk about Conflict Textiles as live and archival language

-- Gillian Lennox will explore the role of archives in Costume Research for the Lyric Theatre

-- Liz Cullinane will talk about Modernism, fashion and war

-- You will receive a personalised photo embroidery kit in the post and take part in a workshop with Kerri Todd to create your own postcard

-- You will engage with other participants through Zoom calls and share your work with each other through Slack
