100 years ago, a succession of events unfolded across a ten-year period that would redefine the island of Ireland and its people forever.
As we move into the latter half of the decade, and mark the anniversaries of events such as the end of the First World War, the formation of the Irish stage, partition and the civil war, the Creative Centenaries programme will enable groups to learn about and respond to the timeframe.
Intensive ‘hothouse’ programmes for young people will use mediums such as film, music, animation and digital fabrication to allow a new new generation to have their say on the past.
A further series of one-off workshops are available to help groups of all ages to understand the importance of our shared history, and to create new digital responses.
