Young Syrian refugee group visit Derry for football and AR programme

A group of young Syrian refugees, from Cavan Cross Cultural Community, visited Derry~Londonderry in early November to attend a Derry City Football Club match and to take part in an augmented reality filmmaking workshop at Nerve Centre. 

At the Derry City game they got the opportunity to hear from PRO Lawrence Moore and met with players from Bohemians FC and Derry City FC.

While at the Nerve Centre, participants got an introduction to AR/VR equipment to get a taste on how to use them to create immersive experiences, using the technology as a tool to communicate and have fun.
