Activism programme helps young people get socially active

Participants got introduced to the different aspects of activism and campaigning during a week-long engagement delivered in partnership with Reimagine Remake Replay

The online programme featured presentations from Ruth McCarthy (Artistic Director Outburst Arts), Lucie Cullinane (Rape Crisis) and Emma Campbell (Array Studios and Alliance4Choice), discussing different themes and what it takes to create change.

Participants were able to open up in a safe and shared space, to ask questions and to offer their own experiences.

Following each session acclaimed artist Jacky Sheridan led a series of design inspired workshops helping the group to design slogans and posters about issues important to them.

Outputs and ideas emerging from the creative workshops, such as those above, touched on issues of sexuality, the environment and mental health. Designs submitted by the participants will be printed and sent as campaign style badges and posters.
